How do I register my child at BLOS childcare?

You can register your child free of charge and without obligation via our registration form.

Will my child be placed on a waiting list?

If there isn’t an available place on the desired days, your child will automatically be placed on a waiting list. We monitor the waiting list daily and you will be notified as soon as a place is available.

Are there any registration fees?

Registration is free of charge and without obligation.

How do I change my registration?

You can change your registration by sending an e-mail to info@blos.nl.

How do I cancel my registration?

If you want to cancel your registration please do so by sending an e-mail to info@blos.nl.

When will I receive a confirmation of my registration?

As soon as your registration has been processed you will receive a confirmation by e-mail.

When do I get an intake interview at my preferred location?

A few weeks before the first day of childcare, the location manager will contact you by telephone to schedule an intake interview.

Is there an adjustment period before my child starts childcare?

Absolutely. We believe it is very important for you and your child that you get time to get used to the childcare location. In most cases, your child will visit the location twice to get adjusted. If desired, it is possible to arrange an extra visit.

Why is it best to register my child as early as possible at BLOS childcare?

Availability for childcare varies per location, day and group. By registering your child as early as possible, you increase your chance of there being an available place on the desired day(s) at your preferred childcare location. Registration is free of charge and without obligation.

I am looking for childcare, is there a place available for my child?

If you want to know if there a place available at a particular childcare location, please contact our Parent Support and Planning department at info@blos.nl or 030 604 75 99.

How do I change or request additional childcare days?

You can submit your change or request for additional childcare days via the parent portal.

I already have childcare at BLOS for my child and now also want to place a sibling. Does this have any benefits?

Yes, it does. If you apply for childcare for a sibling, your request will have precedence over other requests.

What are the conditions for cancellation (e.g. notice period, costs, before or during childcare)?

You can find the conditions for cancelling childcare in our general terms and conditions of payment.

How do I submit a cancellation?

You can submit your cancellation via the parent portal.

When does the childcare contract for my child end?

The contract for childcare and pre-school will end automatically when your child turns four years old. Will your child not be attending primary school until after the summer holidays and would you like to extend your childcare period? Please send your request info@blos.nl.

How do I extend the childcare contract?

If you want to extend the childcare contract, please send an e-mail to info@blos.nl.

How long is the waiting list?

The length of the waiting list varies per location and per childcare day. For the most up-to-date information on availability, please contact the Parent Support and Planning department via info@blos.nl or 030 604 75 99.

How do I increase the chances of getting a place at a BLOS location?

We register children based on the time of the registration. It may occur that childcare is not immediately available on the desired day(s) at that certain location. In consultation with you, we are happy to see if there is an available place on other days. The same applies to the childcare location: If childcare at your desired location is not available, we are happy to help you find a suitable location in the neighbourhood.

My workdays vary. Can I still use childcare?

We offer flexible childcare for people who work on varying days. This allows you to indicate in advance on which days you would like to use flexible day care. You will only pay for the childcare days that you have actually used.

I already have a child at BLOS childcare. Does that mean there will automatically be an available place for my second child, who is about to be born?

Placement of a child depends on availability at the location. Therefore, unfortunately, we cannot guarantee placement. However, when you already have a child using BLOS childcare, requests for registering siblings will have precedence over other requests. Tip: registering your (unborn) child as early as possible will increase your chance of getting a placement on the desired day(s) and group.

I found a job again. Can my child start at the day care again?

Congratulations! That’s wonderful. If you wish to use childcare again, please send an e-mail to info@blos.nl. We will contact you as soon as possible to check if there is an available place.
