On behalf of the team, I would like to welcome you to BLOS after school care centre Mariastraat in Hillegom! We used to be part of Wonderland childcare. As of 1 April, we have merged with BLOS childcare.
Centrally located in Hillegom, behind De Johannesschool you'll find after school care centre Mariastraat. A lovely place where children aged 4 to 12 can play, relax, and above all do cool things together. One-of-a-kind to our after school care centre is the four different age groups. Each group has a cosy group room that is fully equipped to suit the age of the children. There is even more to experience outside the group room. In the craft room, your child can engage in carpentry, crafts and discover what they can do with wood, cardboard, and wool. The oldest children can also play in the auditorium and the carpentry room. Your child can choose which activities to take part in. This encourages him or her to make independent choices.
Of course, we also like to play a lot outdoors. There are two outside play areas where the younger and older children can play, run and frolic separately. At our after school care centre, we focus on experiencing nature and your child will learn much about it. In our vegetable garden, we take care of the plants and grow our own tomatoes and strawberries.
Does your child attend music lessons at 'Music School Hillegom' or dance lessons with Martha de Rijk? Then our pedagogical staff will bring your child there after school. In Hillegom we also have a after school sports centre. At this location, we pay extra attention to sports activities and offer sports workshops. It is possible to combine the after school care centre with our additional care centres in Hillegom, for instance, two afternoons to after school care centre Mariastraat or after school care centre Willem de Rijkelaan, and one day at after school sports centre Van den Endelaan. At BLOS, your child will never be bored!
For parents who have to go to work early, we offer pre-school care (VSO) from 7:00 am. As soon as school begins, our pedagogical staff will bring your child to the classroom. And for children from the 'Johannesschool,' we offer the between school care (TSO).

Our after school care centre has room for 120 children spread over 6 groups and works with a standard division of groups. To offer the children stability, each group has a standard group leader. After the communal snack and drink time, your child can choose which activity to participate in. The group leader is you and your child's standard point of contact.
