BLOS Voorburg | Location Vijverhof (day care – age 2-4)

Welcome to day care centre Vijverhof!

On behalf of the team, we would like to welcome you to the BLOS day care centre Vijverhof in Voorburg! The name of our day care centre used to be Kindercentrum ZieZoo. As of 1 November 2021, we continued as a BLOS childcare location. You will find our day care centre in the same building as primary school De Vijverhof. We have our own entrance, which is located next to the lower grade classrooms. We work closely with the teachers at primary school De Vijverhof. This way, the children can become familiar with the school.

Our day care centre is located in a beautiful monumental building with a characteristic facade. Here, we welcome toddlers aged 2 to 4 years old. Our cosily furnished group room has different corners to play in and its own door to go outside. At our toddler care centre, your child will learn something new every day. We stimulate the development of social skills, but also dealing with other children and making friends. We challenge children to do as much as possible independently. For example, making their own sandwiches or putting on their coats by themselves. We also pay a lot of attention to exercise, music, artistic expression, cooking and nature.

We love playing outside with the toddlers. Our enclosed playground provides endless adventurous outdoor fun. In addition, we regularly go out for a walk in the area. We play in the playground, go for a walk or visit the petting zoo where our after school care centre Ultramarijnhof is located. During school hours, we have this located fully to ourselves! There are playing fields, a vegetable garden, playground and, of course, animals. The children can cuddle with the bunnies and visit the pigs and the cows. Happy faces are guaranteed!

In order to stimulate a continuous learning path from day care to primary school, we link up with the primary school, using the International-Primary-Curriculum (IPC) method. This method is integrated into our daily routine. Our themes and activities are also aligned with method.
